Step by step

  1. 1

In a medium bowl or jar, combine the chia seeds, plant milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.

    About 1 min

Cook’s note: Ensure all ingredients are well combined to prevent clumping of the chia seeds.

  2. 2

Whisk or stir vigorously for about 1 minute to break up any clumps.

    About 1 min

  3. 3

Cover the bowl or jar and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, until the pudding has thickened.

    About 4 hr

Cook’s note: Give it another stir after about 30 minutes in the fridge to ensure even gelling.

  4. 4

Before serving, give the chia pudding a good stir.

    About 1 min

  5. 5

Divide into serving bowls and top with fresh berries if desired.

    About 2 min
