Bring the water to a rolling boil in a medium saucepan.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and immediately add the black tea bags.

Steep the tea bags for 3-5 minutes, depending on your desired strength. For a stronger tea, steep longer.

Remove and discard the tea bags, pressing them gently against the side of the pan to extract any remaining liquid.
