Place a steamer basket in a pot and add water, ensuring the water level is below the bottom of the basket.

Bring the water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Add the edamame to the steamer basket, cover the pot, and reduce the heat to medium-high.

Steam for 3-4 minutes, or until the edamame are bright green and tender-crisp.
