  • 0.5 pcsyellow onion, diced
  • 0.5 pcsbell pepper, diced
  • 2 clovegarlic, minced
  • 2 tbspnutritional yeast
  • 0.5 tspturmeric powder
  • 0.25 tspblack salt (kala namak)(optional)
  • 0.25 tspblack pepper, ground
  • 1 tbspolive oil

The method

Step by step

    Press the firm tofu to remove excess water, then crumble it into a bowl using your hands or a fork.

    Cook’s note: Pressing the tofu helps achieve a better texture.

    Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.

    Add the yellow onion and bell pepper to the skillet and sauté for 5-7 minutes, until softened.

    Add the crumbled tofu to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it starts to dry out slightly.
